FOUND DACHSHUND – PLEASE HELP US FIND HIS FAMILY OR A LOVING HOME We are trying to locate the owners of a sweet Dachshund (sausage dog) who was found in the Travis Avenue area in Montague. We have been caring for him for about a week, hoping that someone would come forward looking for him. He appears to be an older dog, as he has some gray hair, and he seems to be a purebred Dachshund. He is also neutered, which makes us believe that he has likely been someone’s pet and may have a family out there looking for him. He is an incredibly sweet, calm, gentle, and well-behaved little dog. He has been very good with us, and we would really love to reunite him with his family. Unfortunately, we are not able to keep him permanently, especially because we will be moving soon. Our first priority is to find his original owners. However, if we are unable to locate them, we would love to find a responsible and loving person or family willing to adopt him and give him a permanent home. We would much rather see him go directly to a safe, loving home than have to take him to a shelter. We simply cannot keep him much longer due to our upcoming move. Please help us spread the word throughout Calvary Housing and the Montague area, especially around Travis Avenue. Ask your neighbors, friends, and anyone you know who may have lost a Dachshund or who may be interested in giving this sweet boy a loving home. If you believe he may be your dog, know someone who may be missing him, or are seriously interested in adopting him if his owners cannot be located, please contact me for more information.
