Dark tan color, thick and soft hair, young (under 2 years of age), hardly any plaque on teeth (indication of being young), had 6 puppies with her, puppies were black and tan, black tan and white, tan, tan and white. No collar, very friendly. She appeared in our front yard looking for food. We fed her and she went into our backyard towards the creek//skyland drive. She was scared, hungry, and stressed, most likely a first time mother. Puppies seemed to have worms, bloated belly and nasal discharge. Mother looked decently fed, not malnourished. Possibly dumped recently. Puppies and mama was fed 2 large containers of food, they left towards the creek to get water. She left her puppies behind multiple times, and kept coming towards random people, specifically my family trustingly wanting to be pet. Definitely someone’s pet that was dumped or somehow escaped, but most likely dumped. She was skittish at first until she saw the food and got a bite. She will easily eat from your hand. Puppies seem somewhat socialized, some still skittish while two came up no problem.
