Grey striped standard issue cat with brown accents in fur. Green eyes. Shorter legs, slightly on the chubby side. Active and a bit skittish, primarily outside porch cat. Timid around most other people and dogs. Loves chicken, cheese and catnip. My cat and I stopped at the State Park campsite after driving for several hours, wanting to get her out of the car since I could tell she wasn’t enjoying it. She had stuck close to camp all evening but when I got her in the truck for bed she bolted out before I could shut the door. It was dark so I could not see much and had food which I waited on her for. She has yet to return. The rains were heavy and raccoons were around so I’m wondering if that was a deterrent to return. I have walked most of the trails especially within the vicinity of where she took off and several others campers were alerted. She is microchipped and the closest Humane Society has yet to have her brought in. I’m not sure what else to do as I’ve never had this happen to me but I just can’t imagine she would be injured or worse. The park is very well kept, smaller, close to a small neighborhood, with little to no predators around. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
