Minnie has been missing for 2 weeks, and we are absolutely heartbroken. She is my 10-year-old son’s therapy cat. He is on the autism spectrum and has had Minnie since he was 3 years old. Their bond is incredibly special. When he is overwhelmed or having a meltdown, Minnie will actually seek him out, climb onto his chest, and lay with him until he calms down. She isn’t just our cat. She is his comfort, his safe place, and a huge part of our family. Minnie was feral for roughly the first year of her life, so she is very smart and resourceful, but she has been an indoor cat for years. We try very hard not to let her outside, and she has never failed to come when called before. She is also extremely friendly. She went missing near the corner of Stockman Rd and Shores Rd in Pocatello, close to Elk Village Mobile Home Park and the Flamingo RV park area. We have searched for hours during the day and in the middle of the night. We have left out familiar clothes and strong-smelling food and have been checking everywhere we can think of. We are incredibly worried and miss her more than I can put into words. Please, if you live anywhere in this area, check garages, sheds, crawl spaces, under decks, porches, trailers, vehicles, barns, and any place a scared cat could hide or accidentally become trapped. If you have seen Minnie, even if you only think it might have been her, message me. Any sighting could help us narrow down where she is. Please share this post, especially if you are in the Pocatello area. We just want to bring Minnie home to her boy.
