My Wife And I Were Arrested On Misdemeanor Warrants For something Petty and Jersey village Police department was notified by me and my wife that our dog which is our son is her emotional support animal and she has a prescription for him, that's why they allowed him to ride in the back of the cop car with her all the way to the jail. Well they then told us both that he will remain in the shelter for at least 15 days before anything was to happen with him unless there was somebody that could pick him up so therefore we were under the impression that we had x amount of time to be able to pick him up or have someone pick him up not knowing that she was going to be in jail for 20 days within 10 days they have already neutered him and chipped him and adopted him out. Well I have looked into the law in the state of Texas and with us notifying the police officers of Jersey village Police department that he is a emotional support animal it is illegal for him to be adopted out or anything to be done with him besides him being taken care of and housed at the local animal shelter until one of us was released from jail. We are now on the hunt for him and have been on the hunt for him for over 2 months now and we would like to have our son back. He is a grayish blue and white he is two and a half years old, he is a very smart and friendly dog. I even started to teach him Spanish and he also knows hand signals commands. He talks and he sings as well. I have had him since he was 5 weeks old and taught him everything he knows. He sleeps with me and my wife in the bed between us where he has to be touching both of us at the same time before he can fall asleep and we got used to him doing just that so now it's hard for us to sleep. My wife has bad anxiety and cptsd and she has not been the same ever since we have been separated from him. So I asked if anyone has any information about his whereabouts or anything about the person who adopted him please give me a call or text me so I can see what I need to do to get him back I am willing to pay whatever it cost because whenever you have kids you would do almost anything or pay anything to be able to have them in your life again. The Next step would be me going to the shelter getting all the information I need and contacting my lawyer and going about it the legal way and possibly having to sue them and I'd rather not have to do that if not necessary but it's almost at that point where I have no other choice.
