MISSING CAT – LAYLA Layla is a 1-year-old Scottish Straight with a gray coat. She is an indoor-only cat and is not familiar with being outdoors. She went missing around 6:30 PM near Arthur J. Hendrickson Park in Valley Stream, NY. She was last seen near the end of Dover Street at the house directly next to the park entrance and bridge. Layla became frightened while outside and ran into nearby backyards. Because she is an indoor-only cat, she is likely hiding quietly rather than wandering. She may be hiding under a deck, shed, porch, bushes, garage, crawl space, or other sheltered area. She may be scared and may not respond to her name, even if she hears you. Layla is very food motivated but may be too frightened to approach people. Please check your property carefully, especially under decks, sheds, porches, bushes, garages, crawl spaces, and around pool equipment. If you see Layla, please do not chase her.
