Male, 20-month old, short-haired brown hound/lab mix. Lean, athletic build, weighs approximately 50 lbs. Last seen wearing a red and black checkered bandana and black vibration collar. At approximately 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 31, our dog was hit by a car in front of our house. All we could hear was a thud and the screeching of tires. I ran out as quick as I could to see what happened, but by then our dog had already taken off sprinting down our bank toward the river in our back yard, according to the driver and another bystander that saw him do so. I’m not sure if it was adrenaline that allowed him to sprint away after getting hit, or if he truly didn’t sustain any major injuries. We believe he could be injured. Me and the driver went down the bank and looked up and down the river and could not spot him. Since then, he has been missing. The AirTag in his collar last detected him at the location I’ve put here in this form (near 208 Main Street in Fairfield, ME). His AirTag still maintains this location presently, though we’ve looked extensively in the area and have had no luck tracking him down.
