Hello, my dog Liberty (Lili for short) is a beautiful blue nose pitbull who uniquely is half gray and half white; her white head made me think of an American bald eagle so I named her Liberty. She was staying with my mom while I was out to sea, finishing my contract, and moving to the new home I was going to bring Liberty in when she went missing from my mom’s backyard two months ago. My mom has called and been to all the shelters in the area leaving description, showing pictures, and giving shelters her contact information to inform her of updates. I have been looking through facebook community groups looking for her and finally in the morning of September 29th, I saw her post via Facebook. I immediately emailed the shelter and called my mom. We were told that she had been adopted August 21st. I am devastated but hopeful that if we post through community pages and social platforms, that my story could be reached and read by the adopters and they can contact my mom or myself to discuss letting her be reunited with her family. I truly look forward to having her with me again after my long months out to sea and transition out of the military.
