We've been reunited! Our furry baby is back home! Thank you ro our neighbors who found him, kept him overnight, and brought him back home to us. They are angels!
Tigger came home this evening! My guess is that someone had him in their house because he seems calm and not starving - although he did hit me up for a treat. I'm going to try to spread the word that it's worth getting a cat checked for a microchip at a vet's office or the local Humane Society. They'll do it for free. I always keep our cats' microchip information up to date. Our youngest two cats were definitely abandoned when someone moved out of a rental house in our neighborhood. Still, I had them checked for microchips in case they'd gotten lost in the move and their owners were looking for them. I also listed them with our wonderful local Humane Society in case they got a call about a cat missing the description of one of the abandoned cats. Now, they've been part of our family for three years.
